Golden State Warriors vs Los Angeles Clippers Preview 11/01/2018

NBA – Golden State Warriors  vs Los Angeles Clippers

Tonight, look back at the Golden State champion who has the Los Angeles Clippers. It is the third match of the two teams and the second meeting in four days. Game number 1 took place in late October and Golden State prevailed very clearly with 141-113. Game number 2 was not quite as clear then, but Steph Curry led his team with 45 points to 121-105 victory.

Steph Curry is currently redefining the headlines in Golden State. After his approximately three-week injury break, he returned at the end of December and knew how to convince with ten threes in the success of the Grizzlies. In the new year, however, he did not let up and was also able to deliver great performances in successes over the Mavs, Rockets, Clippers and Nuggets.

Especially the game against the Clippers was remarkable, he scored 45 points in only three quarters and thus laid the foundation for victory. Overall, he scored in these five games, 6.6 three per game, with just 12.4 attempts (rate of 53%). He himself downplayed the benefits and said the fresh legs and the more intense training during his injury would be responsible.

Particularly gratifying were the results and his achievements also because Kevin Durant was missing last injury. He has not had calf problems for three games, but Golden State compensated for his failure almost without any problems. With a correspondingly good shape and mood, the Warriors are thus entering the third matchup with the Clippers, in which they are the clear favorite.

The Clippers are still struggling with injury worries. Rivers, Gallinari and Beverly are still missing and also the actually recovered Griffin and Teodosic are questionable again. In the defeat against the Warriors Griffin suffered a concussion after an unintentional elbow collision of JaVale McGee and Teodosic broke his foot injury (Plantar tendon) again.

Although both were missing in the last game against the Hawks, the Clippers were able to prevail in a tight game with 108-107. The 27-year-old rookie CJ Williams scored the crucial threesome to victory. In addition, he was able to convince with 15 points and was thus an excellent support for DeAndre Jordan, who got a good day with 25 points and 18 rebounds. Also Lou Williams, showed again a great game and was with 34 points to the top scorer.

Williams thus continued his hot phase, scoring at least 21 points in the ninth consecutive game and the fifth over 30 counter. Therefore, it is clear that he was primarily responsible for the fact that the Clippers were able to win six of these nine games and thus also made up for the lack of rhythm in the team game and the many injuries.

Today they have to try again, missing with Beverly, Rivers, Gallinari and probably also Griffin and Teodosic again a lot of important players. The Warriors are worried about Durant but are otherwise complete.
Player to watch: Steph Curry

Of course, the look in the run-up to this game must go to curry. His form is outstanding and with over 35 points per game he has deservedly been voted player of the week. There should also be an interesting shootout against Lou Williams, but Curry will probably win the day. His average score is currently 27.9 points and after the last appearances, he should be able to convince again today with 28 counters.
Prediction Today:Golden State Warriors
